Renegades close out 2025 season with 5-4 walk-off win over Chabot

FREMONT – The 2025 Ohlone College softball season ended on a high note as the Renegades rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to score a 5-4 walk-off win over visiting Chabot College in their season finale on Tuesday.

Despite being held to just four hits in the contest, the Renegades came through in the final frame when they needed it most. Five different Ohlone batters drove in runs while the Renegades were patient at the plate with eight walks.

Ava Thomas, Alina Sanchez, Carina Docena, Sienna Vigil, and Mahliyah Ortiz-Lucero all had RBI while Geanna Townsend walked three times and scored a run.

Alina Sanchez went the distance in the circle for the win. She scattered four runs and 12 hits while striking out four batters.

Ohlone ends the 2025 season with a 16-24 overall record and finished sixth in the mighty Coast Conference with a 4-10 mark. All-Coast Conference postseason awards will be selected this weekend.
