Renegades open season with doubleheader at Sequoias
VISALIA – The 2025 Ohlone College softball season got off to a tough start as the Renegades dropped both games of a doubleheader at College of the Sequoias on Saturday.
Ohlone fell 6-1 in the opening game and suffered a 12-1 loss in five innings in Game 2 to close the afternoon.
Alina Sanchez hit an RBI-single to drive in Sienna Vigil with the Renegades' lone run in the Game 1. Sanchez, Vigil, and Brittney Taylor combined for Ohlone's three hits in the contest.
Ohlone totaled one hit in the finale that led to its only run. Carina Docena singled to lead off the game and eventually came in to score on a passed ball.
The games were originally scheduled to be played at Ohlone but were moved to Visalia because of concerns for the weather.
The Renegades, now 0-2 overall, are back in action on Feb. 6 when they travel to Folsom Lake College for a 3 p.m. non-conference game.
