Menjivar and Munoz receive All-Conference Honors

The Ohlone Renegades Men's Soccer team announced its All-Conference players yesterday, and the awards went to a pair of Sophomores.

Goalkeeper Angel Munoz was awarded 2nd Team All-Conference for the 2025 season.  Munoz was a key part of the Renegades' great start to the season, posting 6 clean sheets in their first 8 games.  In those 8 games, he always seemed to make at least one big save that would turn the tide of the game and push Ohline to victory.  As conference play started at the opponents became a little tougher, the clean sheets disappeared, but Munoz still found ways to keep Ohlone in the game.  During all of their 13 conference games, Ohlone was within 1 goal at halftime of every game.  That was in large part due to Munoz's impact on the game.

Munoz finished his season off in style, posting a game-winning assist against Monterey Peninsula in Ohlone's first win in conference play.

Midfielder Leonardo Menjivar received the 1st Team All-Conference nod—his 2nd such nomination in his two seasons at Ohlone.  The Renegade Captain was a constant presence in midfield during his two seasons at Ohlone, and while he didn't post great counting stats, he made a huge impact for the team.  Menjivar led by example, showing the several Freshman starters what it took to play at the JUCO level and what type of effort was needed to help the team win games.

He finished this season with 2 assists to go along with his 1 goal and 1 assist as a Freshman.

Both Munoz and Menjivar will take part in the Sophomore Showcase this weekend, Dec. 6th, in Southern California.
