Ohlone closes season with tough playoff series loss, Renegades earn 11 All-Coast Conference honors
FREMONT – The 2025 Ohlone College baseball season officially came to a close with the No. 9-seeded Renegades' 2-1 series loss to No. 16 Sacramento City College in the Northern California Regional Playoffs.
Ohlone suffered a 9-2 loss in the series opener on Friday before bouncing back in Game 2 on Saturday for an 8-6 win to extend the series to a deciding third game later in the day.
The Renegades appeared to be in their way to the victory holding a 10-6 lead after seven innings. But Sacramento City ultimately rallied late to pull out a stunning 12-10 win.
Brendan Comerford, Will Anderson, and Payton Dupree all hit home runs in the series finale.
Despite the final outcome, the Renegades wrapped up another solid season with a 32-11 overall record under head coach Mike Curran.
